Background: Ganave Primary School is a rural school located halfway between the cities of Anfoin and Dakondji. High student enrollment in this area has exceeded the capacity of the original structures. Built in 1970, the existing classrooms are in very poor condition, but are being used to house 90-100 students at a time. The rest of the students are meeting in community-built shelters. With an estimated 120 additional out-of-school children in the area, this school needed our help. Once completed, we hope the additional 4 classrooms will provide a safe and conducive learning environment for students and entice more out-of-school children to start attending school.
