Background: Katalima Primary School was initially build in 1930. It has been in operation for 93 years. High student enrollment in this area has exceeded the capacity of the existing structures, leaving classes meeting outside under the trees for shelter. With an estimated 200 additional out-of-school children in the area, this school needed our help. We hope the additional 4 classrooms will provide a safe and durable learning environment and entice more out-of-school children to start attending school.
