It is our pleasure to introduce you to Estelle Fifamè Gamefio, a student from CEG Soyo Secondary School!

Estelle is from the Allada, Benin Republic. She is 14 years old and she is in her 3rd year of Junior High School. We interviewed her asking about the impact of the new classroom block at CEG Soyo Secondary School has had on her life, and about what she enjoys.

Interviewer: Why do you attend school?

Estelle: I go to school to get a job and take care of my family.

Interviewer: Do you have brothers or sisters who come to school with you? If yes, how many are they, what grade and what are their names?

Estelle: No, I come to school alone.

Interviewer: How do you get to and from school?  How long does that take?

Estelle: I walk to school. It’s about 2km from my house and it takes me 45 minutes.

Interviewer: What is your favorite food? (describe it if it’s not generally known)

Estelle: My favorite food is Wô with Mâtindjan.
