We believe how we construct classrooms is as significant as the classrooms themselves. It all starts with a motivated community, who can submit a school/community profile and a project assessment form to Coafrica through the local Coafrica Coordinator. After verification from Coafrica coordinators, a community commits materials and/or unskilled labor and/or funds towards the project. Board approval is our commitment to match the community’s needs and contribution. Construction plans are created and submitted for District approval and a local contractor is vetted by Coafrica Coordinators and local leaders. Projects are funded in stages. When each stage is completed to the satisfaction of all parties, the next stage is funded. Coafrica’s success depends upon the strength of the local coalition of Coordinators, community and leaders.
