We broke ground on a new classroom block in Malawi! Kabuthu Primary School has been in operation since 1939. They currently have 10 classrooms and approximately 1,200 students (587 girls and 549 boys).

With an estimated 400 out-of-school children in the area because of poverty, early marriages, and early pregnancies, the 4 new classrooms will provide much needed space for additional students to learn.

So many members of the community helped dig the foundation. The Honorable Deputy Minister was first, setting the pace. She is joined by village chiefs, area development committee leadership and other stakeholders.

Next, the community joined in. We are so excited to see the impact this school has on the nearby villages!
