Impacted Children: ~540 students

Timeline: July 2025 – February 2026

Community Involvement: Materials, labor, Clean-up and Maintenance

Coalition: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Build a School Initiative in Africa

Background: The school was established in September 2022 by the Government of Cross River State. It had three classrooms, with one of the rooms partitioned with wood to accommodate two separate classes and no room for the students to advance to the next grade. Together with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Build a School Initiative in Africa, Coafrica has been able to build a 6 classroom block with a teacher workspace and provide desks for the new classrooms. These classrooms will last a long time and impact this community for years to come.
