Background: At Atwima Koforidua Primary and Junior High School there are more than 2500 students. When the school was built in the 1960s, the government funded a 5 classroom block. Despite significant growth, the government hasn’t provided further support and the community has been left to build makeshift classrooms to accommodate the number of students. Before the Coafrica classrooms, there were four different schools using limited classrooms and each classroom has been subdivided by makeshift partitions to fit as many students as possible. We’re so glad the students have more space to learn and grow.
