Background: Established in 2015 by dedicated community members, Chitilila emerged from urgent necessity. With the nearest government school 12 kilometers away, children in the area faced prohibitive barriers to education. To address these challenges, the community constructed three temporary hut classrooms using local materials. Together with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Rising Fountain Development Programme, Coafrica has been able to build a 6 classroom block with a teacher workspace and provide teacher housing. These permanent structures will last a long time and impact this community for years to come.
