Background: Bwevu Primary School was initially build in 1953. Before construction of the new classroom block, the school had nearly 1,700 students meeting in 7 semi-functional classrooms. Each grade had over 200 students, and 6 classes were left meeting outdoors. The newly completed classroom block has made room for almost all classes to be held inside a classroom. We’re hopeful that these improved conditions will support education initiatives in this area and over time improve the lives of young people in Malawi.
